KV High students leaving for the day after ventilation problems occurred at the school.
KV Fire Chief Bill Ireland says a discharge of dry chemical from a fire extinguisher in the theatre got picked up by the buildings ventilation system, essentially filling the school with dust.
He says a crew is still on the scene and the ventilation fans are running in reverse right now to suck the dust out of the building.
Ireland says the theatre will need to be cleaned up, but expects school to be open tomorrow.
