The Fundy Region Solid Waste Commission signing a contract with Envirem Organics in Claredon, near Welsford, to send some of our organic waste from what you compost there for processing.
General Manager of the landfill Marc Mcleod says the new contract will avoid spending money to upgrade current infrastructure.
Mcleod says the new 15-year contract will save roughly $1.4 million dollars.
He says the contract will start as soon as a trailer is purchased so the waste can be transported
