The executive chairman with Moosehead Breweries and Dennis Oland’s uncle, Derek Oland, releasing a statement that he has never been approached by the Saint John police to provide a DNA sample.
Derek Oland says had he been asked he would have cooperated without hesitation.
The second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland hearing this week from a police officer who says in February of this year he was tasked with obtaining a DNA sample from Derek Oland but was unsuccessful.Oland says he has indicated his willingness to help the investigation into his brother Richard Oland’s death a number of times.
Oland also pointing out that he was on a three-week, out of country vacation during the time period the Saint John police said he was under their surveillance.
