Progress is being on restoring power to thousand of people off the grid today.
Just over 6900 homes and businesses are without power across the province.
They are outages impacting over 2000 in Quispamsis and over 600 in Rothesay.
People in Kingston are also without power and many are impacted in Charlotte county.
Estimation times vary from this afternoon to early evening.
The outages forcing both Quispamsis Elementary and KV High to close early.
