A dietician who leads a breastfeeding support group in Charlotte County says it started 17 years ago by herself and another person. Lori MacKenzie tells us she noticed that it was something that was needed so that moms could be supported.
MacKenzie says many people are aware of the benefits of breastfeeding and wanted to, but didn’t have the intial help they needed.
Life-size cutouts of women breastfeeding their children will be coming to the area according to MacKenzie. It’s part of a new campaign from Public Health Called Breastfeed Anywhere.
