The Trans Canada Trail is expected to be completed across the country by 2017.
Thanks to a $500,000 donation from Scotiabank and $250,000 from Ottawa, work is now well underway to finish the trail in Southeast New Brunswick.
Trail spokesperson Paul Jorgeson says the expansion will fill-in gaps between Dieppe and Sackville and the Confederation Bridge.
Once complete, Jorgeson says users of the trail will be amazed by the scenery and the range of terrain it will cover.
