There are still a lot of questions to be answered about what a proposed fertiliser plant in the McAllister Industrial Park will mean in terms of public safety.
Fire Chief Kevin Clifford wants a risk assessment done and that would be up to the Provincial Department of Environment and Local Government to do.
Clifford says another question is whether the fire department would need any additional training and, if so, who would pay.
The fire chief says these questions will be raised in the Environmental Impact Assessment and it will be up to Atlantic Potash to provide the answers.
