Canada officially has a new government. Justin Trudeau was officially sworn in as the Prime Minister yesterday and he has named his Cabinet.
MP Dominic Leblanc spoke to media yesterday after he was officially sworn in as the Government House Leader. He says Parliament will return on Thursday, December 3, with a speech from the throne the next day.
He was asked what some of the priorities will be. Leblanc says Trudeau has made it very clear that it is his hope to have new tax measures in place for January.
He expects lowering the tax rate for middle class Canadians and raising the tax rates for those who make more than $200, 000 will be one of the first things the tackle.
Parliament is expected to sit until December 11th.
