Beausejour MP Dominic LeBlanc still hopes to spend every weekend in New Brunswick despite his new role as Government House Leader.
LeBlanc says this adds many new responsibilities but Prime Minister Justin Trudeau believes this is where LeBlanc will be most useful.
“It’s a great opportunity for me to play a role across the government in working with my colleagues. And also to make sure that we quickly implement the legislative agenda that Canadians elected us to deliver.”
LeBlanc says there’s no doubt that this position will give him a chance to be an effective advocate for the social and economic needs of this province.
But he says he has a team of nine other colleagues in Parliament to work with who also represent this province and he sees it as a team effort.
