With Remembrance Day next week, a timely event will take place tomorrow involving the Great War.
A cannon that once stood at Fort Howe and saw service in the Battle of the Somme and Vimy Ridge will be transferred to the Loyal Company Association and the Third Field Regiment.
Master Gunner, Chief Warrant Officer Joe Jordan, and a team from Source Atlantic restored the cannon.
The ceremony is taking place at 2pm on Sunday at the Marco Polo Cruise Ship Terminal.
At the same time, the annual Remembrance Day Service and Concert is taking place at the Cathedral on Waterloo Street.
