The Tantramar Regional High School vs. Saint John High School semi final football game scheduled for this afternoon has been postponed to a later, to be determined, date.
In the “Q”, Drummondville got a late third period goal to edge the Sea Dogs 3-2……Thomas Chabot and Nathan Noel scored for Saint John. The Sea Dogs are in Quebec City tonight against the Remparts.
In Major Midget Hockey at the Q-Plex, the Saint John Vitos shut out Fredericton 6-0 to improve to 10 and 2.
In the Maritime Hockey League, the Woodstock Slammers downed the St. Stephen County Aces 4-1.
In the NHL, Henrik Zetterberg scored his 300th career goal in the first period and Jakub Kindl scored at 2:17 of overtime as the Detroit Red Wings edge the Toronto Maple Leafs 2-1 for their third straight win. In other play, New Jersey downed Chicago 4-2……It was Dallas over Carolina 4-1…..The Rangers got by Colorado 2-1……Pittsburgh downed Edmonton 2-1 and Anaheim defeated Columbus 4-2.
