If you’re planning to attend the Remembrance Day ceremony at Harbour Station which always attracts a full house, you can arrive any time after 9:00 with the Parade assembling at 10:15. The Official Service will begin at 10:40 and everyone is encouraged to be in their seats by that time.
Historian Harold Wright says unlike some other parts of the country, Remembrance Day in the Atlantic region is treated with sombre reverance and we have succeeeded in passing along the tradition of having respect for veterans from one generation to the next.
There’s also a ceremony at the Q-Plex and you’re encouraged to be seated there by 10:30.
In St. Stephen, a Remembrance Day service will be held at the Cenotaph on Milltown Boulevard.
In Milltown, the service is at the Cenotaph on the corner of Queensway and Church Street.
