A Sussex Entrepreneur has a deal, with two Dragons.
The Dragon’s Den episode last night confirms it, The Sussex Beard Company has a deal.
Owner Matthew White auditioned in April, and has been keeping the deal a secret since then.
He says it was all kind of surreal for him, and he went in overprepared, and not really knowing what to expect, “I jokingly said to people, if they call me the bearded idiot, I’ll respond, “You’re right! How much do you give bearded idiots?” But they treated me so well.”
He says, “It didn’t feel real from the moment I left the studio. It didn’t look like anything was going to go on, and by the end, it just all seemed to turn around.”
The company was founded three years ago, White first invented a beard oil and has since created other affiliated products.
After the episode aired, he received around 500 emails of support, and more than 60 orders.
