The co-owner of VIP Dry Cleaners in Rothesay testifying at the second-degree murder trial of Dennis Oland that he did not see any blood stains on the clothing brought in by Dennis Oland’s wife, Lisa Oland, the day after Richard Oland’s body was discovered face down in a pool of blood.
The prosecution has stated that a brown jacket seized from Dennis Oland’s home on July 14, 2011 had four areas of blood on it and the DNA profile matched that of Richard Oland. The jacket still had a dry cleaning tag attached and Yang Hwan Nam confirms that the tag shows the jacket was dry cleaned from their business.
According to defence lawyer Alan Gold, the police did not do a complete interview with Nam until February of 2015. Richard Oland’s body was found on July 7, 2011.
Nam’s wife, Jin Hee Choi, agreed with Gold that when Lisa Oland brought in the clothes on July 8, 2011, she could have asked for same day service. The pick-up date was for the next day: July 9, 2011.
