A heart wrenching and dramatic day in court as Jessica Ann Miller’s family give victim impact statements at the sentencing hearing of Jesse Reynolds of Hampton.
Miller of Apohaqui died in July. Reynolds admitted to choking her and plead guilty to manslaughter.
Jessica’s mother, brother, aunt and cousins spoke about the impact her death is having on their lives.
Gale Miller says her heart is broken and she feels numb all the time.
Jesse Reynolds read from a paper not looking at the family saying he was sorry to the Miller family and his own.
Jessica’s father Arnold Tays says Reynolds has no remorse because he got caught. He says reports of heavy drug use are an excuse for Reynolds saying Jessica isn’t here to tell her story.
Tays says Reynolds murdered his daughter on his birthday.
Some people were escorted from court for talking or yelling out.
Reynolds gets his sentence on Friday at 230pm.
