City Police telling us they acted on concerns that were expressed to us by Jocelyn Aspen of Adelaide Street about drivers not stopping for school buses when they have their red lights flashing and the stop sign out in full view letting children out.
Police say on five separate occasions over a period of two weeks they were in the neighbopurhood in unmarked cars and saw no violations taking place. There was also a police cruiser in the neighbourhood this morning.
They do say people talking on their cellphones while trying to drive is still a major problem in the city even though the fine if you’re caught doing that is over 172 dollars.
