A new resource is available in New Brunswick for anyone who wants to help Syrian refugees.
A toll free helpline has been established for New Brunswickers.
If you do call, be prepared to answer a number of questions about the kind of support you can give.
Training and Labour Minister Francine Landry says the provincial government is working closely with municipalities, settlement agencies, community groups as well as other parts of the government to prepare for the influx of refugees.
While the federal government is solely responsible for identifying and approving refugees for resettlement, the provinces are responsible for creating internal plans of action to provide services to the refugees when they arrive.
The phone number is 1-855-444-6554.
