A fire late last night on the west side at the Irving Pulp Mill’s electrostatic precipitator which forms part of the environmental control system.
Acting Platoon Chief Roy Byers says there was significant damage to the exterior and surrounding utilities. The overall damage was still being assessed whrn fire crews left.
Significant damage also caused from an east side fire in a vacant trailer at 17 Spring Drive. The cause being investigated by both the fire department and City Police.
