The Victorian Order of Nurses ending its operations in six provinces including New Brunswick.
Programs will also close in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba Prince Edward Island and Newfoundland and Labrador.
VON has filed for protection under the Companies’ Creditors Arrangement Act for the federal wing and for the eastern and western branches.
Operations in Ontario and Nova Scotia will remain intact.
VON is also reducing the number of employees in its head office, which provides corporate services to the operations, by 23 per cent.
352 of more than 6400 employees will be impacted by the restructuring.
