One person arrested after a Children’s Empty Stocking Fund charity box was stolen in Market Square. A video still of the suspect was circulated and police nabbed a 27 year old man on Sydney Street by the Loyalist Burial Ground.
There was a possible robbery on Peter Street early this morning. A woman says she was punched by one man while another got away in a cab with her cellphone. A 44 year old man was later arrested and police discovered the cellphone along with two knives.
Police are also investigating at breakin at Trinity Anglican Church on Charlotte Street. The only thing that appears to be missing is church wine from the minister’s quarters.
