Maritime-Ontario Freight Lines has officially opened its new state-of-the-art terminal hub on Berry Mills Road in Moncton.
The $20 million terminal with an officer tower and docking at 42 bays sits on 46 acres of land – almost half of which is now developed.
The company’s palatial new Atlantic Canada hub is near the Trans Canada Highway and CN rail facilities.
Maritime-Ontario says it has the capacity at this location to handle long combination vehicles, so called road-trains, which it intends to start using in the near future.
The trucking industry maintains these road-trains can move goods more efficiently especially on divided highways.
