A plane with mechanical issues managed to land safely at the Greater Moncton International Airport overnight.
The Dash 8 plane with 28 people onboard was having issues with its landing gear.
Dieppe Fire, Codiac RCMP, Ambulance NB and airport officials were called to the scene.
Division Chief for Dieppe Fire Marc Cormier says these types of calls come in more often than people think, “We train with the airport and fire department with these types of incidents, so we’re quite familiar with the routine, their tarmac access and the equipment.”
He says they recently took part in a mock disaster, rehearsing for incidents like these.
In this incident, luckily no one was hurt.
