Local 1418 of the Canadian Union of Public Employees kicking off a province wide week of giving to the less fortunate.
Stephen Drost of CUPE says communities benefiting from the initiative include Saint John, Fredericton, Moncton, St. Stephen, Miramichi, Bathurst, Campbellton and Edmunston.
Drost says in Saint John, care packages will be collected to donate to the Romero House.
The campaign will run until Friday.
