A 46 year old Belledune man being charged with trying to kill two children last month in Blackland, New Brunswick.
The man also faces charges of administering a noxious thing.
He was arrested on Monday, made a court appearance and has been sent for a 30 day psychiatric assessment.
After a vehicle went off the road in Blackland on November 3rd, three people were taken to hospital. A man was in the vehicle and two kids under 12 who are related to him.
The children were later sent to the IWK Hospital in Halifax where it was discovered they had been given a noxious thing.
The kids were treated and later released while, the man was in the hospital until he was arrested on Monday.
The names of the man and the children will not be released.
