A university official in Grenada has confirmed that the body of Dr. Linnay Veinotte has been found on the small Caribbean island.
St. George’s University president Richard Olds shared the tragic news on social media this afternoon.
36-year-old Veinotte, originally from New Brunswick, was a professor at the university.
She had moved to Grenada this summer with her husband and two children.
Grenada police have a man in custody.
Akim Frank turned himself into police early this morning and he is being questioned.
Charges have not yet been laid.
Veinotte had been missing since last Sunday after walking the family dog.
