Thomas Chabot of the Saint John Sea Dogs is currently in Toronto attempting to make the final roster for the Canadian World Junior hockey team.
He tells CHSJ news spending time in Ottawa after being drafted by the Senators really helped him gain confidence.
He’s the only defenceman from the QMJHL to be invited to try out for the team.
Chabot says he’s watched the World Juniors since he was just a little kid.
The World Juniors are being held in Finland this year. Canada will start the tournament off against the United States on Boxing day.
