There will be no change in the tax rate or the user fee for sewage service in Grand Bay-Westfield next year.
The town’s 2016 budget has been approved with a property tax rate of $1.37 where it has been since 2007.
The cost of RCMP policing in the town declined by over 167 thousand dollars while provincial funding rose by more than 69 thousand dollars and tax assessments were up by over 3 million dollars.
The user fee for sewage service remains at 270 dollars.
