It’s another busy day for NB Power crews, who are working hard to get the power restored for thousands of households left in the dark after yesterdays storm.
Spokesperson Meghan Gerrish says they’ve called in additional crews from Northern New Brunswick and are also getting assistance from Saint John Energy to help fix the downed power lines. They currently have just over 200 crews on the ground.
She says, “The biggest issue is certainly the trees connecting with the power lines. There are several areas on the outskirts of the Fredericton region where there are spans of trees down over the power lines.”
Their goal is to have the majority of the power back on by tonight.
