With 500 refugees arriving in Saint John soon, the business community is being encouraged to help make the transition as easy as possible.
Enterprise Saint John and The Regional Chamber will be hosting a training session next month.
The event is for employers who want to make sure their workplaces are ready to embrace people from different cultures.
A campaign called “Buy a Bed” is also being launched to support Syrian Refugee families who will need new beds.
The goal is to purchase 200 beds, but there is an immediate need for 20-30 by the end of this month.
The Y Newcomer Connections is urgently looking for 100 Welcome Teams made up of 3-5 people to support families over 6-week periods.
