If you heat your home or business with natural gas, you should expect to pay lower prices this winter.
Natural gas prices have plummented to their lowest level in almost 15 years.
Senior petroleum analyst Dan McTeague with Gasbuddy.com says companies exploring for oil across North America have found huge amounts of natural gas in recent months.
“What’s really happened is the ability to get natural gas out of the ground has been made far cheaper and there is quite an abundance of the product,” says McTeague.
With the winter starting out mild in much of the continent, McTeague adds there is also an oversupply of natural gas in the market.
