UPDATE: As of 4PM Codiac RCMP have made an arrest and laid charges in an ongoing homicide investigation.
18-year old Devin Morningstar appeared in Moncton Provincial Court today and was charged with one count of first degree murder and one count of arson.
Firefighters found the body of 18-year-old Baylee Wylie as they put out a fire at 96 Sumac Street last Thursday morning.
Two persons of interest are still being sought in the case – 20-year-old Marissa Shephard and 18-year-old Tyler Noel, both of Moncton.
Marissa Shephard is described as White, 167cm (5’5″) tall and weighs approximately 45kg (100lbs), with brown eyes and brown hair.
She has a tattoo with the name Stephen on her neck and a tattoo of a heart on her chest.
Tyler Noel is described as White, with a medium complexion, 173cm (5’8″) tall with a medium build and weighs approximately 64kg (140lbs).
He has brown eyes and black hair, including facial hair and sideburns and he has tattoos on his right arm with the words mom, dad and Mary as well as a skull.
