Two women had to be rescued by Kennebecasis Regional Police after a collision with another vehicle whose driver had tried to speed away.
A 17 year old youth from Saint John is looking at charges of dangerous driving, failing to stop for police, driving without a licence and violating a court order.
The collision happened over the weekend at the intersection of the Gondola Point Road and Clark Road in Rothesay.
The other vehicle with two women inside flipped over a guardrail into the ditch. They were trapped inside with gasoline leaking. Police rescued the two by breaking the windows out of the vehicle and pulling them to safety.
They were both were taken to hospital, treated and later released.
