Food poisoning is the last thing you want over the festive season.
So when thawing out your turkey, the best place to do it is in the fridge.
Once it is thawed, keep your raw turkey away from other foods, and make sure your turkey is handled properly.
Once it is in the oven, thoroughly wash all surfaces that the bird came in contact with, cutting boards, countertops, hands, and utensils. Be sure to use soap!
It will proabably take several hours to cook your turkey, but make sure it is cooked thoroughly before serving. A meat thermometer is recommended and the internal temperature of your bird should be 82 degrees celsius.
