A fishing shack down off the Renforth Wharf in Rothesay going through the ice this afternoon, but nobody was inside at the time and nobody was hurt.
That’s according to Constable Corey McAllister of the Kennebecasis Regional Police who tells us that by the sounds of it, the fishing shack didn’t actually submerge and it likely happened because of the increase in the temperature—which is above zero today.
He says there was a request for service for them to conduct some traffic direction because of a front end loader there to take the shack off the ice.
