The city is in mourning with the recent news of the passing of Vic Fitzgerald.
Former Mayor Ivan Court knew Vic for years and remembers him as a good councillor and humanitarian.
Fitzgerald spent over three decades working with the city’s recreation department, he also devoted a lot of his time to community baseball and was heavily involved in local food banks.
Court says he really cared about the kids who needed help in the community.
He says Fitzgerald improved the lives of those in need.
