A bomb threat forcing the evacuation of Forest Hills school on the city’s east side.
This is one of four bomb threats received in New Brunswick and beyond. There were also bomb threats made at schools today in Fredericton, Moncton and Bangor, Maine.
Sergeant Lori Magee of the Saint John police says it would be premature for her to speculate that these threats are connected.
Magee says a phone message at about 11:30am today stated there was a bomb in the school. After a search of the school nothing suspicious was found and the call was deemed to be unfounded.
Anglophone South School District superintendent Zoe Watson says students were out of school for an hour. Parents were notified and classes have resumed.
