This weekends marks the 99th anniversary of one of the greatest achievements of the Canadian military.
The Battle of Vimy Ridge in World War 1 was a moment that defined our nation, according to Prime Minister Justin Trudeau.
That battle was the first time all four divisions of the Canadian Army with soldiers from all over our country fought together as one unit.
Brigadier General Alexander Ross says he witnessed the birth of a nation when watching the Canadians fight the Battle of Vimy Ridge.
However, that defining moment was costly with almost 3,600 dead, and over 7,000 wounded.
Trudeau says this anniversary is a reminder we must support all the men and women who serve in our Armed Forces.
