Outgoing Ward 2 councillor Susan Fullerton speaking frankly about her time on Common Council, saying that in many regards it was a disillusioning experience though she’s glad she did it in many ways. She describes the speed, or lack thereof, in getting things done in the city via council to be very frustrating.
Fullerton, who was elected in 2012, is not running in the upcoming municipal election. She tells CHSJ News she didn’t feel she had been as effective as she needed to be in the last four years but will really miss interacting with and helping her constituents and notes that the citizens have been wonderful to her.
Fullerton, who gave some thought to running for Mayor, is having a tea on Thursday afternoon from 4-6pm at 71 Sydney Street and the citizens of Saint John are invited to come out.
