The Saint John Regional Hospital Foundation is setting an ambitious goal of raising $1.7 million for the 2016 edition of The Give.
The focus this year is on Pediatric medicine which thrills Dr. Todd Lambert–Clinical department head for pediatrics in Saint John.
He calls it very exciting news particularly at a time when there has been a real change in pediatrics and what they are dealing which includes mental wellness in children.
Staff, volunteers and friends of the Regional Hospital also celebrating the success of The Give campaign for 2015. It raised more than 1.3 million dollars.
Regional Hospital Foundation President and CEO Jeff McAloon tells CHSJ News the big shiny peice of equipment to come out of the campaign is the O-Arm to help spinal surgeons and neurosurgeons.
He says the Regional will be one of 12 hospitals in Canada to get that equipment and it will really advance the surgery program.
