City police are looking into the robbery of a cab driver last night around 9pm near Sewell Street.
A man was picked up near Union and Prince Edward streets and pulled out a knife demanding cash from the driver.
After a brief struggle, the driver suffered a minor cut on his hand.
The man got some cash from the driver and took off running towards Coburg Street.
The Major Crime Unit is helping out with the investigation.
The man police are looking for is described as being in his 20’s, scruffy looking, about 5 foot 10 with a skinny build wearing a blue windbreaker.
