Some very good news for provincial students coming from families with limited means.
Lindsay Handren of the New Brunswick Student Alliance tells us some students in this province often leave school burdened with 35,000 in debt much higher than the national average.
She tells us it makes some students not even consider school when they hear negative news coverage they don’t even apply.
She describes them as a very risk adverse adding they hope the bursary will help increase enrollment and encourage more students from local income backgrounds to go to post-secondary.
Handren says Tuition Access Bursary is open to all full-time undergraduate provincial students attending a school in New Brunswick.
