A Moncton lawyer is entering the race for leader of the provincial Progressive Conservatives.
Monica Barley says she is committed to bringing everyone together to ensure universal access to opportunities and success.
Her theme of “Together, we can!” focuses on uniting all New Brunswickers towards a vision of common growth.

Barley adds the province can’t afford to be divided between regions, politics, and language and must work together in order to be successful.
She is an active community member, having volunteered with several groups, including Crossroads for Women, Downtown Moncton Centreville Inc and the 3 Plus Economic Development Corporation.
Barley announced her candidacy early Friday.

Barley is the third person to enter the race, along with Quispamsis MLA Blaine Higgs, and Fredericton West – Hanwell MLA Brian Macdonald.
The leadership convention is being held in Fredericton this fall on October 21st and 22nd.
