A major traffic disruption this morning with a hydro pole being severed along Loch Lomand Road by St. Joachim’s Church after being struck by a car which left the road and wound up in the bushes.
Police say Loch Lomand Road from St. Anne Street to Commerce Drive will be closed, perhaps for several hours. Saint John Energy will have to replace the power pole. 700 homes and businesses have been left without power as a result. It’s estimated the power will be back on by 9:00 this morning.
One person was taken by ambulance to hospital.
