The Saint John Vito’s are heading to the Telus Cup Finals.
The Vito’s upset the unbeaten Lac St. Louis Lions last night by a score of 2-1.
Anderson MacDonald tied the game for Vito’s with six minutes left in the 3rd period.
Alex Lafreniere scored the game winning goal with just over three minutes left in the game.
Coach Ken Dobson says his goaltender Jake Stewart kept them in the game and calls Lafreniere a key playoff performer.
Dobson says Lafreniere is good enough to be contributing in the Sea Dogs line up right now.
The Vito’s will face off against the North York Rangers at 5 o’clock for the Telus Cup.
That game will be aired on TSN 1, TSN 3 and RDS.
