An investigation is underway to determine the cause of a fire at 1026 Rothesay Road. When fire crews arrived, they found heavy smoke coming from the eaves of an addition to the main two storey building. No one was injured.
The fire department’s Haz Mat Unit was also called to Highway 7 where a package was removed for disposal.
There were more grass fires to contend with over the weekend. The most serious one was set early last night on McDonald Street.
