Slippery road conditions may have been a factor in a fatal head-on collision on Highway 11 in Cocagne.
RCMP say a crash between a car and a pickup truck happened on the Cocagne Bridge shortly before 7 o’clock this morning.
The driver and only occupant of the car, a 73-year-old man from the Cape Tormentine area, died at the scene.
The driver and only occupant of the truck was taken to hospital with serious injuries.
Traffic had to be diverted around the accident scene for several hours this morning.
