Saint John is playing host this week to the Canadian Open Data Summit at the Delta. David Eaves from Harvard’s Kennedy School of Government telling his story with open data working with the City of Vancouver on creating legislation for an open data portal. He says people often want to change everything but he contends changing one thing has a huge impact because it shows people what is possible. He remembers on the day it launched a slew people who called asking how they did it and it became an example of how to do it.
