New Brunswickers who want to benefit from the available provincial and federal tax credits, including the new provincial HST credit, are being reminded to file their income tax return before the deadline.
Saint John Harbour M-L-A Dr. Ed Doherty, who’s also the Minister responsible for Social Inclusion, warns if you don’t file, you won’t be eligible for several government programs and you should file a return even if you have no income to report.
The full HST credit will be provided to those with an income of less than $35,000 per year.
The deadline for filing your tax return has been extended to May 2nd because the 30th falls on the weekend
