New Brunswick is at a disadvantage when it comes to attracting new business because there’s no direct connection by air to the U.S.
Former provincial cabinet minister Norm McFarlane, who chairs the airport’s board of directors, believes Saint John is closer to landing an American flight connection and the sooner that comes about the better it will be for the provincial economy.
McFarlane says when you try to explain how to get to Saint John by air from the U.S., it sounds very cumbersome and time consuming to American businesspeople.
Interim President and C-E-O Angela McLean says the airport has a better idea which airlines might be able to provide service to the U.S.
