Jennifer Fitzpatrick, who lives in Moncton, NB has a brother and wife living in Fort McMurray.
They were also forced out yesterday.
She says they have lived there for 10 years, are newly married, with a new home, and they had to pack what they could in a jeep, along with their two cats, “When they left, the fire was about five kilometres from their home. It was in their neighbourhood. It was panic to get out, with people everywhere. It was craziness.”
Jennifer says at this point, her brother and his wife haven’t been notified to let them know whether their home has been lost in the fire.
She says her brother told her in the 10 years they have lived there, they have never seen anything like this before.
